9.1★ “1,2,3…∞” AND BEYOND! You’ve probably heard about this book, written by famous Mr. George Gamow, about math, science & astrophysics. You know, not a lot of people find these subjects fun, do they? But Gamow here has added in a dollop of humour, and he’s also got some absurd facts! Plus, as this book is mainly known for, it goes into HUGE depth without making you go too bored. Even I admit that some of the subjects are quite a bit hard, but come on, no books are perfect. Oh, and in the end you can show off with stuff like “Did you now that novae and supernovae are actually different types of galactic explosions? Oh, you didn’t? HAAAA!” Sorry, that was a bit mean. 19/03/2024
8.4★ “Six easy pieces”, is one of the world’s best selling books, written by world famous, Nobel-prize winning physicist, …drumroll… RICHARD FEYNMAN!! Yes, this is the one of the kind, textbook—>kid book, SIX EASY PIECES!! So anyway, this book is a simple physics book about •ATOMS •PHYSICS •ENERGY •GRAVITY • QUANTUM. From just the words, most teens are scared and afraid. But don’t be! ‘Cause Mr. Feynman here, he’s Mr. Layman; he’s simplified all this into a read of a matter of weeks!! You’ll probably think the book is 600 hundred pages long - yet it’s less than 170 pages of info. And to add more, this info has a taste of humour in it, and it is sooo simplified. So for a head start in physics , get readin’ !! ( spoiler:: it is still sometimes a bit boring.) 07/06/2024
8.7★ The book “The Manga Guide to Physiology” is about a young girl who needs to study for a makeup exam, and meets Professor Kaisai, a doctor in physiology. Together, they study metabolism in food shops, they talk about the liver and kidneys when they put out waste, and so on so forth. I find the story quite funny, as if everything in real life connects to physiology. The book also stores lots of information in the laughable comic strips, and the cute illustrated pictures make you LOL. It makes the reader find him or herself being dragged and engulfed by the story, like how pathogens will find themselves trapped in the vacuole of a macrophage (or white blood cell, whichever one you prefer). For 12+ 23/09/2023
7.9★ “A Short History of Nearly Everything”, written by Bill Bryson, is a pretty interesting book. It surprises you with many bizarre facts, like how sodium, one of the most reactive elements, and chlorine, one of the most toxic, together can form sodium chloride, or table salt! Sometimes you might get bored from a heavy load of facts, though, cause if you get to a bit where you don’t like the topic, it just keeps going on and on about for like, I dunno, 4 pages? It will take you many days to finish, cause it has 600+ pages. I’m quite surprised it won the Aventis prize as well as the Descartes prize! Recommended for 16+, honestly, even I struggled a bit. I almost give up, but my dad encouraged me to finish it, and after so long, I finally feel good about it. 26/07/2023
7.7★ I don’t like“Introducing Logic: A Graphic Guide” as much as “Introducing Mathematics: A Graphic Guide” because, First of all, it doesn’t have as many pictures. Secondly, it is quite boring. Thirdly, it is quite tricky and hard. I hope that who ever reads this book already has a decent understanding of basic formal logic, as it is hard to find this type of person. I recommend this book for 15+ 11/08/2023
8.8★ “Introducing Mathematics: A Graphic Guide” is a funny, illustrated, and knowledge packed book about math. From Egyptian numerals to derivatives, this book is real fun. I really like it cause It makes you feel like you are reading an amusing comic at the same time as reading a boring textbook. You are basically reading an amusing textbook (or a boring comic, whichever way you prefer)! Recommended for13+ 08/08/2023
9.5★ “StarTalk, with Neil deGrasse Tyson: Every thing you ever need to know about space travel, Sci-fi, the human race, and beyond” is a funny and informative guide to , well, everything just wrote. It talks about question from if super-man could survive a black hole to if science can find love. This book not only talks about science, but it teaches you how to make drinks, it tells you puns, and it also has a bit of biology. It really is a good book. Recommended for science fans who want funnier books. 08/08/2023
9.1★ (average) “The Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy, the complete collection” is a fantastic sci-fi comedy. From the earth blowing up to rocket-shooting vogons, I find it amusingly funny. At first I couldn’t really get it cause I was still young, but slowly I started getting hooked and by the 3rd book I would be laughing hysterically seconds after flipping a page. I think I should let you start reading it as soon as you want to, but there are several swear words, so its for 10+ 18/07/2023
9.7★ (average) “Earthsea”, by Ursula K. Le Guin is a rather good series. With a mix of adventure & remorse, Earthsea includes characters like Ged, who was a young child who became Archmage & Dragon lord, yet turns into a merchant with no ability of magic. Yet there are characters like the Woman of the Hand, who are resilient, and keep fighting against there enemies. As this is a good book series, I gave it a higher rating than 9, but I recommend it for 11+. Also, one of the books, Tales of Earthsea, I found quite boring, and not nearly as fun A Wizard of Earthsea. It was a bit more ‘deep’ and it wasn’t so much of an ‘adventure’ story, unlike the other books. 25/04/2024
9.6★ (average) The “A Wrinkle in Time” Quintet is an ultimately flabbergasting ridiculously good-ish pile of stuff which make you hate the writer cause they didn’t keep writing their ultimately flabbergasting ridiculously good-ish pile of books which were basically like liquid awesomeness moulded into the shape of a book. Whoo, that was hard to say in a single breath! As I just said in a single breath, every single page of this series is spectacular! (Except the third book which was a tiny bit boring.) Anyway, time for un-exaggerating the books and instead of exaggerating the details I will OVER-exaggerate the details! Book1# A wrinkle in time: So there was this dude named meg who had a great brother and mother and a dad lost in the universe. Now then, I fast forward over all the spoilers and boom, father rescued. Book#2 A wind in the door: So this same dude named meg has the same brother and mother and dad, when all of a sudden the brother gets sick and nearly dies. So Meg and a CHERUBIM named Proginoskes go INSIDE Meg’s brother (his name is Charles) CHARLES’ MITOCHONDRION! Then they fight these thingamajigs called Echthros and save Charles’ life! Now, I’ve already written quite a bit, and I need to eat my dinner now, so I’m just gonna tell you the other books are absolutely spectacular-ish. Now, please, if you would be so kind to JUST GET THE BOOK NOW AS IT IS SO AWSOME. This set is so long that it took me over 14 hours without eating or sleeping to finish! Now then, I’m going to eat my dinner. My mum is telling me my beef is cold right now. Excuse me, please. “MUM IM COMING OK , JUST WAIT A SEC.” There. 15/02/2024
9.1★ (average) "The giver” and the 3 other books in the series are all quite interesting books about humans in this world, but in the future, something called the great sameness turns every thing absolutely predictable. Everything is the same grey-ish hue, and there was no snow, no rain, no storms, no sunshine. Just clouds. It reminds me of entropy, which gradually turns everything the same, like if you drop ink droplets into water, soon they will mix together into into one coloured liquid. Also, it seems like book 1 (The Giver) has no relationship with book 2 (Gathering Blue), but book 2 and book 3(Messenger) are winded together. Also, as soon as you finish book 4 (Son) you will see the connection in-between every single one of the books. The author clearly has very vivid but organised imagination, as all is fictional, yet all is realistic. Also, every book has a lesson to learn, even if it is hard to find it. Like in the last book, the lesson is that when you face someone mean, someone evil, don’t bail out before them. Don’t fear them, don’t let them be your king. That is what they want. Instead, stand up and be bold, or ask for help. These for books are intriguing and fun, yet you can learn from this books. Though I thoroughly enjoy this set, I need to say this not really for early youngsters. Maybe for when you get around 9. Or 10. 12/01/2024
9.9★ (average) First of all, Merry CHRISTMAS and a Happy New year! ( I’m writing this on Christmas Day! ) Second of all, it is time to tell you about this book.“Keepers of the lost cities” is basically, if I put it shortly, amazing. If I put it averagely, it is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. If I put it longly, I’m just gonna tell you the full review. I first heard of this book from two of my classmates’ sisters, and they told me it was a reeaaallllyyyyy good book. I started talking about the book with a few people, and soon enough my dad overheard. Funnily enough, he misinterpreted what I said and thought the book was “guardians of the velocities “ ! I know, right?! I told my dad ”This isn’t a physics book!” and then he understood. So quickly after that, my dad got the books for me and, Ta—da! I’ve got pure fiction goodness for half a dozen months! I’m not going to give you a lot of spoilers , but I am gonna tell you to GET THE BOOK NOW. The book is so good that I’m gonna bet that you will be thanking me and bowing to me, and you will send emails of joy to me, because I told you about this book. Now it is time for me to actually tell you about what happens in the books. The main character is Sophie Foster, also known as Mysterious Miss F , who was born in a human city, but was actually an elf. She was soon found by Fitz Vacker, who brought her to the Elvin world. There with the elves, Sophie explores with her friends on risky adventures, saving citizens and fighting the never-seen, a rebel group of elves who disagree with the leaders of elven society, the councillors. Recommended for all book worms. Oh, and this book is NOT for spoiler-sports who love telling other people spoilers and ruining other’s absolutely fine day. 25/12/2023
9.8★ (average) “Eva Evergreen” is a duology about witchcraft, curses, spells, wizards, runes, wards, rogue magic, and basically every single other magic-related think in all of the realms. I have to admit, I was flabbergasted by the the frolicsome detail that the author put in. The books use high-level vocabulary and a detailed storyline, which sparks your imagination into thinking impossible possibilities, a world of vivid colours and nothing but thoughts. 29/01/2024
9.9★ (average) The “Mysterious Benedict Society” series is about a young boy named Reynie, who has a special talent in noticing things. He gets sent to a test, and passed, which led him into fighting of bad men and beating up rivals, or some times running away from them. I really enjoy how the story builds up tension and finally smashes the tension into pieces, like snow gathering on a mountain, larger and larger, from size of a grape to a pomelo, a pomelo to a watermelon, all the way to the size of a bed, and crashes into the ∞ floored skyscraper of amazing and mind-blowing information, and the answers to all cliffhangers. Seriously, I am 99.7% sure you will be both discombobulated and shocked and amazed and fascinated and enjoying yourself and having an urge to write a super duper great review for this book. Recommended for, well, whenever you wanna read it ! 11/10/2023
9.4★ (average) “The Sinclair’s Mysteries Series” is a ‘death and crime’ book about guns, spies, betrayals and more. Two young girls go lurking in the night, solving mysteries and murders caused by the criminal gang of the east, the Baron’s boys, lead by the unknown crime lord codenamed as “the Baron”. In the 1st book, the duo make their first encounter with him. In the 2nd, they manage to send more then half of the baron’s boys to prison. In the 3rd they save 2 priceless dragon paintings. And in the 4th, they finally defeat the Baron, who they now know is called John hardcastle. I find it an exhilarating series of stories, and it is definitely recommended for murder fans. The details and structure had big impact, like how they think they are so close to knowing the suspect, and then all of a sudden there is a humongous twist and they find that they are still far away from finding the answer. There are so many twists that if you could ride a story line, you’d feel like you were on a roller coaster. Btw, if you want to continue the series, you can read “Taylor&Rose, detective agency”. 26/07/2023
9.8★ "Minecraft: Return of the piglins” is an adventure series about a young boy named farnum and his friends, who run a zoo and one day go to the nether by accident. Meanwhile, there is a piglin named Kritten, who lives in the nether, and is trying to let herself and her king become almighty piglin rulers. She gets betrayed by her king and thrown into a valley, where she meets farnum. They get out of the valley and make a deal to trade ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| for ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ,but then kritten betrays farnum: She ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| . So this book is really for people who like both adrenaline and dopamine , and yeah, see you in the next book! 16/01/2024
9.7★ (average) “Minecraft: Zombies” is a really good series about a girl who has a brother, who was bitten by zombies and turned into a zombie. She meets John, who is an adventurer, and becomes friends with the girl. They venture for a golden apple, the only thing to cure the girl’s zombie brother, Johnny. They meet an evil adventurer called Logan, who caused the zombie outbreak that zombified Johnny. Logan also zombifies MANY other villages, and even kills pig-step Peggy, the best overwolder in the overworld. The team of three are determined to defeat Logan, and claim back Johnny in his un-zombified normal-villager form. I was gonna rate it 9.9, but it is a bit scary and just might cause nightmares, so 0.2 points are going “wheeeeeeeeeeee BANG *poof* ” So, if you do the math, 9.9-0.2=9.7, and 9.7 is the rating for these books. (That part was for people who accidentally left their brains on the bed stand and became no-brainers.(I really hope that person who left their brain on the bed stand is 100% not you.(If that was you, send a email to me through the home page top left “Contact” button, no-brainer.))) 08/01/2024
9.7★ (average) The “Minecraft: Mob squad” series is about an epic journey of how the so-called “bad apples” of the town develop and learn to protect their beloved town from vexes and fangs, casted by the dreaded evoker, a special type of Minecraft mob that really is an illager covered in robes, who know how to cast really, REALLY dangerous spells. Mal’s nan tells the bad apples about a woodland mansion, where the evoker lives with his vexes, fangs, and sometimes a few vindicators. The bad apples travel through thousand-meter tall hills, over the surging waters, get kidnapped by bandits, into a forrest, out of a forrest, and back into another forest, and finally into the dangerous woodland mansion. They fight for there lives, and finally, kill the dreaded evoker. But one day, Mal’s nan falls sick. PERMANENTLY.(kinda, anyway) The only that can save her is the GOLDEN APPLE! So they blahblahblahblahblah(enough spoilers for today!) They give the golden apple to nan, but that’s not the main surprise. The real main surprise is that they start there own TOWN! Hooray, bye to the bossy-pants elder town leader blahblahblah guys! For fiction-loving guys. 22/02/2024
9.9★ “Minecraft: Castle red stone” is an exciting book about three Minecraft gamers, who want to conquer Castle Red stone and become known through all of Minecraft. They trade netherite for maps, take slight detours, and finally they defeat the ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| (blanked out because of spoilers) hidden in Castle red stone. When they reached their target they did the most unexpected thing to their team: they ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| . I know right? I mean, that is So Un Expected! Also, the team is so strong, I can’t believe they defeated the ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ! And I still can’t believe that they actually were better then the ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| ! Recommended for age ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| . (Ok, fine, that wasn’t a spoiler, I was just teasing you. ) I mean recommended for age ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| . I mean age 9+! 06/01/2024
8.3★ “Anne Frank's Diary: The Graphic Adaptation” is a very illustrative book. It is about anne frank’s life in world war two, my thoughts are both good and bad. I like it cause of its good illustration and detail, I don’t cause I feel sad that 7/8ths of Anne’s family get killed.Don’t you fees sorry for all of those poor people? Recommenced for 10+ 08/08/2023
9.9★ (average) “Explorer academy” is an extremely exciting series!! I’m not over exaggerating, but this is such a good series! It has several twists, and also contains some real life facts. It also brings in some not-so-into-the-future-sci-fi , like lumagine, a material that changes into any colour, as long as you think about it. The series has seven books, and I’m dying for an eight. Recommended for 9+ ! 27/09/2023
9.1★ “The Usborne Complete Shakespeare, stories from all the plays” is a children’s version of all the plays written by William Shakespeare. From Anne Page and Master Fenton’s secret affair, to Egeon and Antipholus of Ephesus being reunited, it is seriously interesting and fun. Originally, I hated all of Shakespeare’s works because there was too much old English for me to digest, but in this “kid version”, there are so many vivid pictures and easy-to-understand words. It all of a sudden makes Shakespeare’s plays so much more… fun! Recommended for all ages above 5. 15/07/2023
9.9★ (average) Murder most unladylike is THE BEST MURDER SERIES EVER. I love the shocking details. At the end of every single book there is a sudden twist, a spark in the brain of a detective, letting the Wells&Wong detective society triumphantly leap to the answer to another goggling mystery. From murder in a British cinema to blood on stairs of Cambridge , the series is wonder-tastic. The the last book, death sets sail, is an awesome finale to the enduring series. 22/08/2023
9.9★(average) Firstly, I’m gonna say this book is Å M Ä Ž Į Ņ Ġ ! ! ! ! Secondly, Loki is a real delight for everybody! It is about a the god Loki getting kicked out of Asgard onto Midgard, also known as earth. There, Loki gets set up with a family, and Loki starts going to school. There, he has hilarious adventures and yeah, you get the point, this series is super-tasticly funny! Actually, I knew this series a LOOONNNGGG time ago, but I always thought it was a bad series. I even whined when my dad asked me to read the first book, “Loki: a bad god’s guide to being good”! BUT…. As soon as I laid my eyes down on the first book, it was like somebody (probably Loki..) super-glued the book on my eyes! I read and read and ate for a while then read and read then pooped then read some more then ate dinner then you got the point and I finished all the books. Recommended for 6+ and mythology-dwellers. 29/12/2023

9.9★ (average) “Cleopatra in space” is an action-packed series of “ray-gun-fights with lots of onomatopoeia” . Cleo is a bold, resilient kid (Like me! Just kidding.) who battles against Xerx forces and fights Octavian at life’s risk. She is a hero who rules nobly and fights with a high spirit. Follow Cleo on her adventures at 7+, crushing empires and forming new ones! 23/10/2023
8.1★ (average) The “Building blocks of science PHYSICS” is a childish children’s guide to the fundamental basics of physics, like matter, heat, and electricity. It explains what was once a complicated idea into small, simplified bits. If you feel a bit stuck on physics, you’ve found the right book! It’s a graphic guide of information if you are looking for anything you don’t understand. For Year 4+ 30/09/2023
9.9★ “The Bad guys”, by Aaron blabey, is a super funny novel full of pictures. Toilet themes and butt monsters to evil centipedes playing heavy-metal-electric-guitars-at-full-blast, every page gives you milk-coming-out-of-your-nose-pee-on-your-pants-start-to-cry level laughter. There’s nothing to this than inappropriate jokes and crazy actions! Recommended for people who can read. 27/09/2023
