A Short History of Nearly Everything

History
“A Short History of Nearly Everything”, written by Bill Bryson, is a pretty interesting book. It surprises you with many bizarre facts, like how sodium, one of the most reactive elements, and chlorine, one of the most toxic, together can form sodium chloride, or table salt! Sometimes you might get bored from a heavy load of facts, though, cause if you get to a bit where you don’t like the topic, it just keeps going on and on about for like, I dunno, 4 pages? It will take you many days to finish, cause it has 600+ pages. I’m quite surprised it won the Aventis prize as well as the Descartes prize! Recommended for 16+, honestly, even I struggled a bit. I almost give up, but my dad encouraged me to finish it, and after so long, I finally feel good about it.
