The Books Of Beginning

The Books Of Beginning is a nice little fable about 3 kids with 3 books, fighting 3 archenemies. The Emerald Atlas, The Fire Chronicle, and The Book of Death. Time, Life, and Death. The three most fundamental parts of the universe. Immense power, in the hands of a 9 year old, a 12 year old, and a 14 year old. The book series is quite intriguing, with twists and turns, as villains like immortal teenagers, ancient beasts with boyish hair, and a crooked old servant for a giant? I like how every time you think nothing can go wrong, something goes wrong, and when things are already unbelievably bad, they somehow get.. worse? I don’t really like the discontinued chapters, as they leave a lot of suspense, which is a double-edged sword. There are lots and lots of transitions, making the entire plot all over the place, and hard to read. Overall, the books are still quite good, but not recommended for the simple-brained mind.
